oh, Big Finish also does Highlander
For all Sherlock Holmes fans, a shout-out for Big Finish
The point Jason’s making, that we’re known for science fiction - it’s quite difficult to get people who aren’t into scifi and Doctor Who and stuff to come to our website. Loads of people visit us, we know that, but they’re people who are interested in Doctor Who. So for example, we’ve done Sherlock Holmes and we’re gonna to do some more Sherlock Holmes, but it’s not been a run-away success. It’s been just about good enough, well-received enough for us to do another series. But really I think what we’re selling to, who we’re selling to is Doctor Who fans who also like Sherlock Holmes and we’re not finding the Sherlock Holmes fans because they won’t naturally come to Big Finish. Nick Briggs, executive producer and writer for Big Finish on why it can be difficult for them to branch out into other ranges - June 13 2011 podcast.
I just wanted to post this and tag it so anyone searching for Sherlock Holmes might be alerted to the full-cast audio plays that Big Finish produces. Their audios do NOT star Benedict Cumberbatch, FYI, but are cast with a talented pool of people. Big Finish produces quality.

I love the arrangement of the Doctor Who theme that Eight gets for his Big Finish audio-dramas…
Big Finish Recommendations?
I’m going on a 5 hour road trip to the interior of my province the day after tomorrow and I’m not sure what to listen to! Does anyone have any recommendations for Big Finish, or other Doctor Who audios?
I’ve listened to the first, The Sirens of Time, up to number 37, The Sandman, which I’m half-way through. I’ve also heard the first series of Eighth Doctor adventures with Lucie Miller. While I do have several on hand to listen to, including the Gallifrey and Benny Summerfield series, I’m not feeling very inspired (bamf-y women, notwithstanding).
Any recommendations?
