I watched a random episode of that show ‘Medics’ Tom Baker was a lead in.
Tom being a charismatic and loopy yet wise and respected Doctor.
*I like this - never mind how average the rest of it is, Tom’s great*
Some people from Classic Who pop in and out and Tom is friends with the Epaulette Marshall from the Armageddon Factor.
*Points at Classic Who actors, tries to remember the story they were in and snorts*
Tom’s wife Elisabeth has pancreatic cancer.
*°___° This is weird. I feel unusual*
They are being funcking adorable together.
*Fuck whowever wrote this show*
Tom is left to do the demanded crying-like-a-baby-forever-alone-and-heartbroken scenes and reads a book pretending that she’s lying next to him.
*F UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! What kind of weird alt. distorted sideways emotional fiction meets an alternative reality mindfuck prophecy shit soup is this witchcraft?!*
Tom’s acting is really good. Never seen him do this type of emotional thing.
*Feels empty due to the confused feels*
Ooooh I would like to see this.
People sometimes say Tom’s not that great an actor really, since he keeps “playing himself,” but I think he can be fantastic. He certainly knows how to play to the camera/audience.
(seriously, watching him in DW made me want to take up acting again because I couldn’t figure out what he was -doing- that made it so fantastic to watch him. Turns out a good part of that is just Tom)
